Getting Started

From first call to first scan, in five steps

A Living Paintings project doesn’t disrupt your venue. Here’s exactly what happens between requesting a demo and your visitors hearing the first story.

1

Consultation & scope

We start with a conversation about your venue: which artworks or stops, which audiences, which languages. You leave with a clear scope and a fixed price — per painting for Interactive Artworks, or per site for a Virtual Tour Guide.

2

Content preparation

Full-service: our team researches and scripts every story, drawing on your curatorial notes where you have them. Self-service: you supply the scripts and source material, and we shape them into narrated, subtitled experiences. Either way, you approve everything before it goes live.

3

System setup

We produce your scan codes and plates, configure the IQEX platform behind them, and supply everything ready to place — discreet markers that sit beside your artworks and waypoints without touching the works themselves.

4

Testing & launch

We walk the venue with you, scan every code, and check every story in every language. When you’re happy, you go live — quietly, or as a launch event we can support with materials for your visitors and press.

5

Ongoing support

Your subscription covers hosting, platform updates and support. Add languages, seasonal content or new artworks whenever you like — and watch the scan analytics to see what your visitors love.

What you’ll need to have ready

  • A list of artworks or tour stops — even a rough one is enough for scoping.
  • Source material — curatorial notes, archives or local history (full-service), or finished scripts (self-service).
  • Your languages — which audiences you want to welcome first; more can be added later.
  • A contact on your team — one person to approve stories and walk the launch check with us.
